Happy Birthday Carter!

Happy 6th Birthday Carter! I can't believe this handsome boy of mine is 6 years old today. I just love his dimples!! Carter is a great big brother to Eric and an avid fan of Star Wars the Clone Wars just like his older brother Nicholas. He is doing very well in school. According to his latest report card he has mastered every subject. His father and I are very impressed with his reading skills. He is breaking out of his shyness shell and has given a couple of talks at church...in front of people....and actually looked at them! Carter is very affectionate and gives great hugs! Happy Birthday Carter! We Love You!

Nick is now a .....

Webelos!! On January 14, 2009 during our Pack meeting Nicholas left the Bear den. Here is one of his den leaders Linda. Nicholas is crossing the bridge to join his new den leader Theo and fellow Webelos.
He is signing the bridge for the second time as Cub Scout. Aaron had a bridge made for the Pack when he was Cubmaster in 2001. Whenever a boy crosses the bridge from one den to another, or from Cub Scouts into Boy Scouts, the boy signs his name to the bridge. It is fun for the boys to find names of the older boys, some of which have earned their Eagle Scout rank.
Nicholas has a favorite post where he signs his name.
During the Pack Meeting Aaron crossed over two boys from Cub Scouts into his 11 year old Boy Scout patrol. Aaron really enjoys being a Scout leader and Nicholas has asked if he will still be the leader of the 11 year old Scouts next year. It is really hard to imagine that our little boy will be 11 next January.
Robert John earned his Arrow of Light award (highest rank in Cub Scouts). I thought this picture was cute. We are good friends with his parents.

It's about time!!

I had some problems downloading some pictures and that is why I haven't updated my blog in a while. I have a lot of pictures!!

Nicholas birthday party

Here are some pictures of Nicholas 10th birthday. He invited some of his friends to go to Laser Quest and then back to the house.
Nicholas wanted ice cream and that is what he got. We had some of his lego Star Wars character on the cake. Some of his buddies!!
After the kids finished eating pizza then were ready to play games. We had some of the boys playing Star Wars Battlefront on the playstation 2. The others played Boom Blox & Wii sport on the Wii. When it was time to leave the boys didn't want to go. They had a blast that evening.

The Battle

Nick wanted me to take some pictures of his new lego Star Wars and post them. I hope you enjoy the pics. Aaron is doing some research for a stop motion video software for Nicholas. It won't be long before you see Nick's short film.

Happy Birthday Nicholas!

Today my first born is a decade old. My handsome boy is growing up so fast. He loves playing with his lego Star Wars and enjoys hanging out with his brothers, friends and cousins. I can always count on Nick when I need help with his brothers. His little brothers think highly of him and I'm glad because he has been a example to them. Last night we had to take Nicholas to the emergency room at Children's Cook Hospital. It turned out that he was passing a kidney stone. He is doing better today but he does have one more kidney stone to pass. We've had so many people call us today checking on Nick and asking if they could do anything. We are grateful for such wonderful friends and families. Happy 10th Birthday Nick! We love you!!!

2009 - Happy New Year

The New Year came in with a bang at the Hayes Household 12:00 AM (New York Time). There was plenty of confetti and loud horns. We are hopeful that 2009 is a good year for everyone!

Catching Up

on the blog. Check out latest (three) posts. We had loads of fun during the Christmas Holiday. I got my camera on Christmas Eve, but I haven't had time to read up on it yet. We have been busy playing with the boys on the Wii.

Day after Christmas

The day after Christmas we drove up to Paris to spend the weekend with Aaron' folks. We enjoyed our visit and even got some free ice cream courtesy of Grandpa Brown. It only took a little encouragement.

I took this photo Saturday morning of my precious boys. They looked so sweet, so angelic and quiet.
Grandpa enjoyed playing the Wii with Nick.
Carter and Eric played in the fort Grandma made them.
Here the boys lounge around waiting for Aaron to hook up the Wii.
There must have been something special in that free ice cream. I had finished giving the boys their bath and came into the living room and found Aaron and Gaylen knocked out.

Christmas Day

Christmas morning seemed to come a little early. Well...it wasn't really, but Aaron and I are not morning people. Carter was so excited and such a sweetheart when he came in our room to advise us that Santa had visited. Nick was already busy checking out his plunder. Eric was the last to awaken and was in a good mood once he saw his Buzz Lightyear.
Twice the Buzz.
Wrapping paper angels.
Wheeee for the Wii
Nick enjoys beating his Dad in boxing.
Our Clonetrooper bobble headed boys.
Ugh, the helmet is a little large.
