Summer Fun

Started in July for our family. We had so much rain in June that we were stuck indoors. Thank goodness that my boys like playing video games but they did get bored after a while. I'm not much for staying at home all the time. Unless I have chores to do. Now that it is July and the weather is hot with no rain we can go out more. We've been going to the pool, spray park and indoor play places with our friends. We have a playgroup with about 7 families that get together 2-3 times a week. If we aren't outdoors we take turn going to a house for playtime/lunch. It's been fun for the kids and Mom's. The Mom's are enjoying the girl talks. Plus, we are learning to cook different dishes from one another. My turn is coming up soon. I'm going to make some Thai food. The boys have seen some good movies this summer. So far, Nicholas favorite movie is the "Transformers".

Scroll down and check out some new post on our blog. We hope that everyone is having a great summer!

We have a new family that moved into our ward and they speak french. Christine is on the left with the green cup and she is from France. She showed us how to make crepes for lunch. We had stuffed crepes with mushroom, onions and white creamy sauce. The crepe batter was made with fresh parsley. The dessert crepe was plain but we each got to fill it with chocolate, bananas and whatever we wanted to put on it. It was a light and delicious meal. We were at the Parson's house and they are bunny sitting for somone. If you make this picture big you can see a picture of the rabbit on the computer. He looks like Cujo.
Eric has been playing a lot with his new toys. This leapfrog music and learning table has been fun for him and Carter. You can learn to count and sing the alphabet in english or spanish. This playhut is very popular with the boys. Nick added our green tunnel to the tents. It's fun watching the boys play. Thanks for this cool gift Jason & the Michael's.

This POOL is COOL

My little sister Susan moved into her new DR Horton home this month. She invited us to her community pool Saturday and we had so much fun. Here is the kiddie pool. Neat, uh? It's like walking on a beach and into the water to about one feet. The water is really COLD. Just on the other side of the kiddie pool is the big pool for big kids. Nick is about to get into the water with his cousins. Now Carter likes to run a lot and we had to tell him to slow down and walk. This pool starts from 3 feet at one end then goes to 4 feet 6 inches to the other side. It's a nice big pool and the water is not so cold as the kiddie pool.
I'm hiding underneath the mushroom with Carter.
Nicholas likes to wear his goggles and dive into water to search for the bright rubbery sticks. Then he swims a little with his cousins.
Carter is getting better with being in the water. He actually put his face in the water and jumped into the pool to his Dad. Progress!!! I love those smiles! Eric loves being in the water and playing in the water. We took him to the big pool and he was ready to swim on his own.
His cousin Alex is always there to play with him.
We have an open invitation from my sister to let us come over and swim anytime. Thanks, Little Sis. You're the best. Love ya!
Here is Susan's new home. Isn't it beautiful? You would really like the inside. She asked me to help her pick out the tiles, granite counter top and etc. I had so much fun with her. She likes shopping at Loew's. It will soon be her favorite place to shop. She just bought a nice fridge there.

Eric's Birthday Party!!!

I was so happy and excited about Eric's cake. I made Eric's birthday invitations with a cute turtle stamp and loved how it turned out. Aaron enlarged the turtle picture. Target bakery was able to scanned and put it on his cake. The colors were soft and the cake was delicious!!! The birthday boy seems to like his cake.
Eric needed some help opening his gifts so his big brothers were happy to help.
Aaron and I gave Eric a wagon full of fun summer things to do. He was anxious to get into it.
It was nice to see all of his cousins at the party. The play well together.
We want to thank everyone for coming to the party. It was nice to have everyone on both sides of the family together for this special day. We had a awesome time with ALL OF YOU. We are grateful to have loving families.

Eric's 1 year check up

Tuesday morning Eric had his 1 year check up. He weighs 19 pounds 6 ounces and is 29 inches long. He was such a good boy when he got all six shots. Two in each thighs and one in each arm. I gave him some tylenol before we left and some later on during the day. Then we went to the spray park aftewards. He did really well. After the park he took a long nap. Dr. Kowalska examing rooms are always fun for the boys. She has lot of toys!
Here are the boys with their pediatrician Dr. Kowalska. She's the best!!!!

Spray Park

On Tuesday our playgroup got together and went to one of the community Spray Park. It is a nice way to cool off in this hot weather. I was the only Mom getting all wet with the kids. Then later on one of the Mom's joined in. It was so much fun. Elizabeth loves holding Eric.
Nick didn't even want to come to the spray park. But he ended up having a blast the 2 hours that we stayed. They had two water gun spray that Nick had fun spraying his friends with.
Water is FUN!!!!
Eric wanted to follow Carter into the water.
Here is Eric and Carter with Michelle and Elizabeth. Eric loved playing in the water. That little guy was spoiled. The two girls gave him so much attention and wanted to hold him. He looks so cute.
This is Emily she is Carter's girlfriend. She also wanted to play with Eric.
Splash!!!Apparently, during Eric's Birthday party I noticed a blur spot in some of the pictures. Aaron thought maybe it was time for a new camera. Yeah!! Anyways, after I saw the pics from the spray park I saw the blur spot again. I clean the lens and I think it's gone. Someone had their finger on the lens. The pictures are still good though.

Cupcake & Slurpee

On the way home we stopped at the 7 Eleven store to get our free slurpee's. The boys favorite flavor is Blue Woo Hoo! Vanilla. It is not my favorite as I don't want blue lips.We were home for about an hour then headed back out. My Mom went along with us to get some cupcakes at the mall. My sister PJ and her kids met with us at the food court. The boys had dinner with their cousins and went shopping at Gamestop. Then we headed back home. After I stopped by to pick up chinese food that I ordered for Aaron and I. It was good!! Here is my little cutie pie enjoying his cupcake.

Happy 1st Birthday Eric!!!
Mmmmm, mmmmm. Lip smacking good.
The older two enjoy watching Eric chow down on his cupcake.

Lunch with Dad at the Turtle Mall

Yesterday we had lunch with Aaron at the mall near his work. Downstairs they had some cool looking turtle statues so we took some pictures of the boys.
The boys threw a lot of my pennies into the fountain. Eric wouldn't let go of his penny.

Eric was having so much fun kicking his feet in the water. He wasn't too happy when Aaron took him out. As we were walking away Nick had read a sign saying "Do not sit on the turtles. Please stay out of the water". Ooops!!

Fun Play Area

At the Turtle mall they have a neat play area. We brought the birthday boy here so he can have some FUN!!! Hey, girl. These are my mushrooms. So don't you think about touching them. I don't share!
Bwah ha ha ha.... ALL MINE I TELL YOU. Lemme see, what else is there here. A green tunnel...not bad.
Oh no, there is that pesky girl again. Yeah, that's right. Swim upstream lady.
Mom, I'm a little tired. Can we go home now?

Happy 4th of July

Since our neighborhood community fireworks were cancelled due to the rain we went to Bedford Wednesday night. Eric kept cooing and trying to reach out and touch the fireworks. Carter kept telling us that he wasn't scared of the noise, that he was a big boy now. Nicholas thought it was the best finale that he had ever seen. (he has limited experience) We are hoping that our neighborhood fireworks will be reschedule soon. Now they have the best firework finale!!
