Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone!!! Carter dressed up as the Clone Trooper Captain Rex. Nicholas was a very handsome cowboy. Eric was his favorite character Buzz Lightyear. Eric wasn't quite in the Halloween mood as he had just woken up from his nap. Here is Clone Trooper Carter standing at attention. Just look at that form!
Sheriff Nicholas displaying his trusty six-shooter. Go get'em cowboy!
Eric was an adorable Buzz. He kept pushing the laser button on the left sleeve of his outfit.
Trunk or Treat was fun. The boys had an enjoyable evening.

Nicholas' Short Film Clone Troopers

Narrated by Nicholas and Carter

Monday, October 20, 2008

I've update my blog with FOUR posting. Later this week I will post Nick's latest short film.

Pumpkin Patch

Saturday morning we went to Nick's school to support the fourth graders. We ate pancakes and watched the teachers play volleyball with the Dad's. After eating yummy pancakes we headed out to Flower Mound. The weather was so nice and the pumpkin patch was busy. They had hay rides, bounce houses, train ride, and mazes.

I like this picture.

Eric was thrilled to be near his current favorite cartoon character Buzz Lightyear!
Look the lion got my hand. Funny kid.
Say cheese!

The Backyardigans is another favorite for Eric.
Hmmm, which one do I want?
Okay, I'm happy. I got what I wanted.
That big bag of kettle popcorn lasted 2 days. It was so yummy! Aaron, Carter, Eric and I did help Nick polish off that popcorn. On the way home we grabbed some lunch and went to the park. It is one of our favorite.

Now it's time to go home and relax. Aaron later went outside to mow the lawn and the kids played on their scooter. Eric had his lawn mower and was following right behind Aaron. I did some cleaning inside of my car. We then ordered pizza for dinner and watched Young Frankenstein together as a family. I had forgotten how funny that movie was.

TCU vs. BYU

Last Thursday Aaron and Nick went to the BYU football game at TCU. Aaron was able to get six free tickets to the game from work. This is Nicholas first time to attend a college football game with his Dad. Two weeks ago he went to a high school football game his Dad and friends. Trinity was playing Colleyville. Trinity is one of the best football team. I heard it was a good game.
Aaron invited some friends. Jeremy on the left, Ethan and his dad Paul. They were very happy to get some good seats to the game.
Go Cougars!!

That's my boy!
At the end of the third quarter they decided to leave because of the score. BYU was losing BIG TIME! The guys still had a great time.

Rainy Day

I love it when it rains. I love it more when there is no thunderstorm or lightning. Nicholas wanted to go out in the rain but I didn't want him too. But his sad face made me change my mind. As soon as he stepped out of the door it stopped raining. Carter and Eric went outside and ran for the puddles. We were outside for about 30 minutes and let me tell you they had so much fun. I was filled with so much joy as I saw my boys laughing and playing in the puddle of water. Eric kept jumping and jumping.Eric would throw a leaf in the puddle and watch it float away. As it drifted away he would say bye-bye. It was too cute!
Oh, want fun it is to splash my brother.
Nick, Eric and Carter were totally drenched. This was a nice rainy day that I won't forget.

Field Trip

A couple of weeks ago Carter had his first field trip in Kindergarten. I went as one of the chaperones for his class. The kids were all excited about going to the Apple Orchard. Our first stop was at the Castle Park. The kids played at the park and later we had lunch. They played some more after lunch. I can't believe the energy those kids have. Some of the Mom's were ready to go home, but the field trip isn't over yet! We still have to go to the Orchard. Carter doesn't have a problem making friends. Here are some of his buddies. Aidan, Carter, Mark, Trent and Mason.
The owner of the Apple Orchard talk to the kids about the bugs that are around the apples and bunch of other stuff. It was a little too long.
Finally, we were all split up in groups for the tour. They also have a nice herb garden. We saw many interesting things. The kids had fun. At the end everyone got a apple to eat. I forgot to take picture then. Too busy eating my apple :) I didn't get to ride on the school bus. The chaperones had to ride their own cars. I car pooled with some other Mom's. This was Carter's first time on a school bus and he was sooo excited. That's his teacher Mrs. Beasley.

LifeWalk 2008

Today we walked 3.2 miles as a family in memory of Michael Tom. We met at Michael's this morning for brunch consisting of bagels, quiche, fresh fruit and cookies. The boys were real troopers and didn't complain at all. Eric fell asleep before we started the walk. Nicholas and Carter brought their scooters, but the roads were a little rough so they ended up walking quite a bit.

The Family
Michael Tom's father, Joe and Michael working to get the free t-shirts handed out.
Uhhh, Kelly...the camera is over here.
Jason knows where the camera is :)
Cole Family. Nice two person stroller!
The Cole stroller worked well through 3/4ths of the walk. Toward the end the front wheel took a hard hit and bent out of alignment. Aaron put Corgan on his shoulders and Travis carried the sleeping Caiden. Things started looking hairy for my stroller as the rear wheel started tilting at an odd angle (darned Evenflo). Fortunately, we made it to the end without incident.
We really missed Mom and Dad Hayes. We hope you're feeling better Mom Hayes.

More of LifeWalk

Here is one of the Lifewalk signs available for signature. Aaron took Nicholas and Carter down there and handed them some markers. Carter has been working on writing his name in school so it was a good opportunity for him.

Michael Tom's mother, Rose and sister, Tracey.
The boys were happy when we finished the walk. We took them to Sonic for some cool refreshment.
We miss you Michael Tom.
