My Blankie

The ladies from Relief Society came over to our house this morning for a nice visit. They gave me this cool baby blanket. Mrs. Mendoza has been making the blankets for all the newborns in our ward. Isn't she the sweetest lady. Are you looking at my blanket?
Do you like it?
Thanks, I like it too!

Brothers Forever

Hey guys can you help me out? I'm leaning to the right.

WOW!! That star is smiling at me. Now its flashing lights and making music. Oh, yeah! This is fun stuff. I wiggled and smiled at the star for ten minutes. Mommy was happy.

Carter stayed home today from Preschool. He got the crud that Nicholas had. We hope that will be the end of it. Carter and I played with his LeapFrog ABC's and My First LeapPad. Then he took a long nap with Eric.

Cooing.......

I had fun cooing to my Mommy. She loves it when we have our playtime together.

Fun

It was a nice day to go outside and ride our bikes. We had a good time.
Carter gets on the big boy bicycle. Yea!!
Aunt Susan came over to give us some cupcakes.
They were yummy!!! I think Carter wants mine.

Eric Time

I wish Mom wouldn't sneak up on me like that. She could give a guy a little notice before she says "Boo!".
It's Bumbo time!!! I wish I had a real microphone.

My brother is extremely helpful and right there to help me if I have any trouble.

MMNFfffhg. I hate this "tummy-time" thing. I wish Carter would help me up.

That "tummy time" can sure wear a fellow out. I like "nap time" much better.

Aaron and The Boys

Nicholas stayed home from school Friday. He was complaining of a sore throat and had red spots on his hands and feet. Yep - thanks Corgan (j/k) :)After visiting the doctor, Nicholas rented a video game from Blockbuster. The new Lego's Star Wars II. He does seem to be enjoying himself. Carter likes to play too. I believe Nicholas is a little disappointed that the doctor said he will be well enough to return to school on Monday.
Eric was a little fussy on Friday and Saturday. We mixed in a little rice cereal with his milk and put him in the swing. Out like a light.

First day of soccer

The Cruisers' warming up in their new red, white and black uniforms. Nick (5) is on the left.

The Cruiser's opponent failed to show up for their scheduled game. Luckily an impromptu team comprised of fathers challenged the Cruisers. When asked the name of the Dad's Team one responded, "Our name rhymes with Cruisers" then proceeded to make an 'L' with his thumb and forefinger on his forehead. Fun was had by all. The Moms had a good laugh and cheered mightily for their Cruisers.

Carter (9) running after the ball in his first soccer game.

Carter was done playing after the end of the second quarter. What began as all out running in the first quarter turned to a walk/shuffle in the second quarter which lead to not wanting to play in the second half. He was so nervous before the game began and was a little intimidated by the cheers from the opposing side. Carter was such a trooper. By the end of the game, three of five players on the field were either crying, being led around by their parents, or both. Not our Carter, he just wanted to be held by Dad.

Whew, what a long morning! Let's go get some lunch, hit the showers (take some pain reliever - Aaron) and take a nap!

September family get-together

Kelly, Michael, cousin Matt, Aaron, Chrissy and Jason

Matt and Aaron bear a striking resemblance to their fathers.

The Michael's with their cute dogs Lola and Patches.

Hayes Family get-together 9-16-06

Cousin Matt came to Texas to attend a seminar and extended his stay to visit our family. We had an enjoyable time reminiscing and getting to know the newer family members. It was hard to believe that eleven years had passed since we last saw him. We're pretty sure he was wearing a KISS t-shirt then too.

The "Bluebirds"

The "Bluebirds" are a co-ed soccer team. Carter is number 9. It was fun watching the kids practice. Carter seemed to enjoy kicking the ball far, far away from the practice field. His first soccer game is this Saturday, right after Nicholas' game.

Soccer buddies!! Carter was very happy to have his friend Jonas playing on his soccer team. They were so cute last night. Jonas big brother Nef Issac plays on the "Cruisers" team with Nicholas. We really like the Ortiz Family a lot. They have three boys like us. Ali is expecting another one in April. I'm so excited for her. She has been a really good friend to me. And our families have a good time together.

Eric 2 Month Check-Up

Today Eric had his 2 month check-up. I had to get a picture of the boys with their pediatrician Dr. Kowalska. Aaron and I think she is WONDERFUL!!!! She's a friendly, fun-loving and caring Doctor. The boys really like her a lot. Carter and Nick always give her a high five when they see her. We've been seeing Dr. Kowalska since Nick was born.

Eric had five shots today. I gave him some Tylenol before we left for the Doctor. It usual helps to keep him from getting fussy later. He was a good trooper. He fell asleep on the way home.

Eric is now 10 pounds, 13 ounces and 21 1/2 inches long.

Yesterday

Read All About Me!!! Nicholas brought this home yesterday and I just love it. It's a keepesake. Aaron and I enjoy seeing how happy the boys are when they are learning new things at school, home and play. It brings a smile to our face :)

On Friday Mom and Dad bought Nick and I new soccer balls. I've been playing with my soccer ball everyday. My first game will be this Saturday. I'm soooooo excited and I can't just hide it, I'm about to lose control and I think I like it!! Nick had his first game last Saturday. His team "Cruisers"won the game. This season Nick is playing on a bigger field, which means a lot of running on the field. He had a great time and played very well.

Look what I did at preschool. My name is Carter :)

Today is September 11th and I'm 2 months old.

First Day At Preschool

Today was Carter's first day at Preschool. When I walked Carter up to the school he was so excited. He lined up with the other kids before going inside. Some of the other kids parents looked a little worried about leaving their kid. I sure wasn't. Anyways, when I started to drive off, Carter had the biggest smile on his face as he was waving good-bye to me. He growing up fast like his brother Nick. Carter had a really good time. They learned about the preschool rules, played play-doh and had showing tell. He brought his big blue car that Eric gave to him.

Eric is trying to grab the toy on his playgym.

Carter wants to play with Eric's playgym. Notice that Carter face has little blue spots from eating blue jello. He looks so cute kissing the ladybug.
