Four more days

Four more days until we leave on our family vacation to South Padre Island. Aaron is so looking forward to it. We are going to hanging out at the beach and take long naps in our condo. We'll also read a good book, play with the kids and watch some movies. It's all about rest and relaxation. I'm so ready!! Nick and Carter can't wait to get there. Eric will have so much fun with his toes in the sand.

Cub Scout Day Camp

Nick is at day camp this week. Pirates is the theme this year. Doesn't he look handsome!
Softball
Nick going to town with his BB gun. He shot a bullseye. Way to go!!
Tug a war.
Long jump. Aaron was able to chaperone on Monday and Tuesday. Nick finishes camp this Friday. He's having so much fun!! Awww, father and son bonding.

Where do I begin .....

It happened two weeks ago. Our air condition unit expired. So we had to replace the whole unit. At that same time we had our back room door replaced with a nice Pella energy saving sliding door. It looks really good. I will show pics later. Anyways, back to the hot air in our home. My friend Becki let us borrow her new electric room air conditioner that you attach to your window. We put it in our bedroom and the boys slept on a queen air mattress in our room. We kept the doors shut and let me tell you it was super cool in there. I kept it on 68:) My parents let us borrow their window air conditioner also. We put that in the living room along with FOUR fans. Our ward at church heard about the air conditioner being out. We had people offering their fans to us or just letting us hang out at their place. I'm very grateful for families and friends. Last Friday we got our brand new air condition unit installed. Saturday are project on the door was completed. So far everything is OKAY!!!
Oh, Aaron gave a talk at church this pass Sunday and he did great!!! It's been 12 years since he gave a talk at church. He received several compliments. I had friends come up to me saying how good his talk was. I was proud of him. Can you believe that he was nervous? He has given talks at work/conferences without being nervous. Go figure! I was also impressed with my son Nicholas. He usually draws during sacrament, but when his dad spoke he stopped and listened.

The boys got out their waterguns and fun getting wet.

Eric didn't have a watergun so he used the water hose. Once he had it in his hand he didn't want to share it with anyone. His brothers tried really hard to get it away from him. No such luck!
He did let Nick help him spray their Dad. We did this again the next day. It was so much fun!!

Swimming pool

You can find us at the swimming pool most of the time with our friends. My boys love going swimming. My friend Huong and her nephew Evan.
Carter with his friend Luke. It was a windy day. We didn't stay too long. You can see Nick with his goggles on and Carter is close by. My friend Nancy is in the middle with her three kids and the other two are next to Carter. She has 3 boys and 2 girls. She is an amazing Mom.
Eric loves the water. He doesn't like to stay in his float long. He wants to be in the water without the float. I'll probably sign him up for swimming lessons next summer.

Gramma's house

We always have a good time there. I took Eric's whale swimming pool over so the boys could get wet in it. They basically just used the water in the pool to fill up their waterguns.

We visited my mom a lot during that week when our air condition was out. I'm glad that she lives close by.

Summer movies, birthday & friends

Besides swimming we do enjoy seeing a good movie. I highly recommend this movie. It was so funny!!! My neice and nephew had already went to see this movie on Friday and wanted to go again with us on Saturday. That's how much they liked it. Another movie that we are waiting to see is Wall.e. Coming soon !! June 27th.
On June 3rd we celebrated my nephew Thomas 16th birthday. My sister had his birthday blash at the Main Event. Each kid received a $10 card to use for video games or bowling. Plus, they had a wristband which lets them play unlimited laser tag. Happy Birthday!!!Thomas always makes time to hang out with his cousins. Nick also played laser tags with Thomas and his friends a couple of times.
Carter, Eric and I played air hockey and video games. Eric was soooo excited!! He really likes the air hockey. I wish I could have gotten a picture. Carter liked playing the games where he could drive. I had to help him reach for the gas pedal. I had fun with my boys!
Eric and Kimberly sitting together on his Diego futon. She is too cute!! Carter and Brittany watching tv. So far, Gracie, Emily and Brittany wants to marry Carter. I'm so glad that these kids are so young. These two girls are sisters and they have three older brothers. They all getting along with my boys. We love hanging out with them.

Father & Son Campout

The Friday night before Mother's Day our church has a Father and Son campout. The boys really look forward to this campout and talked about it all week. Eric didn't go this year as I am just not ready to let my baby go. Aaron tells me too many stories about how he just lets the boys wander off and run around without much supervision. I think Aaron is a little too trusting. The weather was perfect and it appears my boys had a good time.
One of my boys will eat hot dogs. The other one won't.
What is it about boys and fire? Nicholas really likes to roast marshmellows. He said he only ate 10 this year.
Here are both boys playing with their friends.....near the fire?
Carter and his friend Dallin playing with the new playground equipment by Lake Grapevine.

Do these boys look tired? It is only 11:30pm. Then they woke Aaron up at 6:30am.

The boys came home exhausted and dirty after their outing. After getting them all cleaned up they all took long naps.

Thank You Uncle Larry

When Uncle Larry stayed with us several weeks ago he had to leave very early in the morning to catch his flight home. When the boys woke up, they checked the room where he had been staying hoping to say good bye before he left. Instead, they happened to find something special had been left behind. Carter awoke first and came to our room as Aaron and I were still asleep (Aaron went back to bed after dropping UL off). He was waving something in front of my face hopping all the while. Uncle Larry had graciously left behind some money for the boys with strict instructions for them to go buy something for themselves. Thank you Uncle Larry, and here are the pictures of what was purchased...

Carter with a new Transformer
Nicholas with an Indiana Jones Lego set.

Shortly after his visit we received a package from California. Inside was a very nice card from Uncle Larry thanking us for letting him stay with us while he was in town (we wouldn't of had it any other way) and a box of Wine Country Chocolates.
Now the weather isn't as nice and cool in Texas as it is in California. In fact, the day the package arrived the temperature was is the upper 80's. I popped the chocolates in the refrigerator and by the time Aaron got home from work we were able to enjoy the delicious delights. Yes, I did share. Thank you Uncle Larry.

I'm back again!

I haven't posted latley because our memory card reader was broken. We had to buy another one in order for me to download the pictures from my camera. I have a lot of pictures. I will try my best to update my blog weekly or maybe monthly. I do have a life!!! So keep checking :)

Mother's Day

I'm so blessed to be a Mom to three loving boys. Being a Mom is not easy, but I wouldn't trade it for anything else. I love tickling my boys and giving them hugs. Hearing them laugh brightens my day.

Aaron and the boys made breakfast for me. My sweet husband made dinner and also did the dishes. He is a wonderful man. A couple of weeks ago Aaron gave me these beautiful roses.
Happy Mother's Day, Mom. I love you!!!! You are always there for me when I need you. You have been such a good example to me.

Here is this wonderful man again. Aaron grilled chicken for us at my Mom's house for our Mother's day get together. Aunt Susan brought bubbles and fun stuff for the kids to play outside. Eric spilled a bunch of bubbles on him. We had to put his shorts in the dryer. He kept entertained with this bubble maker.
My Mom and her six grandchildren. My box of chocolates. I did share them. Mom got one, PJ got one, and Susan got one. My boys don't like chocolate covered strawberries. That left me with more to eat, but I shared some with Aaron. Oh, they were very delicious!!! Happy Mother's Day to my mother in law Karen. You are the best mother-in-law a girl could have. Happy Mother's Day to PJ, Kelly and Chrissy. I love you all!!!

Bill lives...

Is that yellow duckling "Bill" All of the kids were able to pet the baby duck.
Eric thought the duckling was so cute.
Carter preschool class went to the park for a picnic with their bears.

Two Months and Not a Day Longer....

Okay, so a little time has slipped since the last post. The weather now is certainly warmer. The snow from the previous post was gone by the next day. After receiving harassment from various folks about not posting, I pledged to myself that I wouldn't go longer than two months without posting. The date of this post has special significance because it is the birthday of someone special who we all love, Michael Tom. Michael always enjoyed being with our boys and they loved being around him. He left us too soon. He will always be a part of our family. Happy Birthday Michael. You are missed.
