Happy Birthday Carter!!!

It is very hard to believe that our Carter is now 5 years old! It seems like it was just yesterday when we brought him home from the hospital. This year Carter is "in to" the Transformers. He wanted a Transformers cake, Transformers invitations, Transformers pinata, Transformers theme and he wore a Transformers shirt to his party.
Well, it seemed that the cake Transformed these boys tongues to a nice shade of eewwww blue.
We rented out a Tae Kwon Do facility in the neighborhood. There was plenty of space for fun and games. Here we lined everyone up for a balloon contest. The idea was to put the red balloons in the red Decepticon box and the blue balloons in the blue Autobot box. As Eric is still learning his colors he decided to roll around on the floor.
The place even had a bounce house for the kids to jump and play in. I'm not too sure that this bounce house had enough air to handle all the kids we had at the party.
Here is that pinata I spoke of earlier. For some reason those pinatas made in China tend to hold together a little too well. After two rounds of kids taking their swings and the older kids taking a hit the pinata had to be torn apart by hand.
Even Eric got into the "swing" of things.
Happy Birthday Carter. The party is over. Time to go home blue lips. We love you!

Life is all about chocolate!!!!! Or, Why I Like Valentine's Day

I like Valentine's Day. This year we enjoyed a special Valentine's Day dinner with the boys. It was a little hard to eat what Aaron and I had cooked when there was a fine display of chocolate brownies with a Reese's Cup center on the table. What did you guys do for Valentine's Day?
This is a picture of one of my chocolate gifts. Look closely....does it look a little odd? I'll explain why at the bottom of the post.
Now on to the next picture. This is a box of CHOCOLATES. Aaron did really good with his selection (he listened). I asked for only milk chocolates and he delivered. He even threw in some truffles for good measure. I was in heaven.
PS - I like chocolate.

PPS - Chocolate is good food.

PPPS - Chocolate is evil.

PPPPS - Sometimes it is good to be bad.

Now, for the heart shaped box of chocolates. When I first looked at the chocolates I thought they looked a little too plasticky (sp?). I didn't open up the clear plastic lid as I decided the Godiva chocolates needed my attention. I did share a few with the boys. When Aaron got home he asked me what I thought of the heart shaped tray of chocolates that was actually a single solid piece of chocolate. What a suprise! The chocolate had been poured into a mold and painted to make it look like a box of chocolates. How neat is that?

Happy Valentine's Day to all and too all a box of dark chocolates. Leave all the milk chocolate to me.

I love my boys!!!!

I enjoy being a Mom. It's the best job ever. Granted they may have there moments, but we learn to deal with it. They are my sunshine and they make me happy. Here are some pictures of the boys and what they have been up to the last few weeks. I know I haven't posted much lately. I have been busy helping my friend start her vinly lettering business. She has her first open house tomorrow. We are very excited!!!

Eric likes to play with the mouse and keyboard a lot. I just love his smile. Eric playing with his friends Kimberly and Nicholas. I wanted to get a picture with all three of them on the step but Eric didn't care to pose. Now the other two just kept looking at me wondering what I was going to do.
Nicholas is getting his car ready for the Pinewood Derby race next week. He will also be crossing the bridge to be a Bear in cub scout. I'm so happy for him. I can't believe my baby is 9 years old. He got a haircut saturday and my friend spiked his hair a little. He is a HANDSOME boy!

Nick always enjoy having his cousins over. Even though there is a big age difference between them they always seem to have fun. They wanted to make a short film with Nick.
Carter and his friend Harris were the only two boys at Emily's birthday party. The invitation said to wear your favorite costume. Carter was a clone trooper and Harris was a Jedi. Guess what the girls dress as?! Cute little princess.
Emily wants to marry Carter someday. My friend Rochelle's little girl Grace said she wants to marry Carter. This kid has chick magnet. It's his smile and those DIMPLES!!!!
Dang he's cute!!!

Leapin Lizards

Is a new family fun center in North Richland Hills. We went with a bunch of friends that day and had a blast!! Eric was able to have some fun with his brothers.

Nick and his friend Walter had fun going through the obstacles. This place is very COOL!!!
Carter coming down a long slide. Whew!!!! The adults are allowed to play too and we get in free. My friend Mia and Otta had a workout playing with the kids. Actually all of the Moms did. We had so much fun. I think we will be sore the next day. We plan on going there once a month. We get a group discount if we have more than 10 kids. We had 18 kids with us. Then we all went to McDonalds for lunch. And the kids still had enough energy to play some more at McDonald's.
They even have a play area for little toddlers like Eric and Luke.
Girls just wanna have fun!!!
Eric had fun going down the slides and exploring around with his Mom and brothers. Now he wants to go home and take a long nap.

Happy Birthday Aaron

Happy birthday to my wonderful and handsome husband!! The boys and I celebrated Aaron's birthday with his favorite dish from Zio's and for dessert we had cheesecake. The boys got their Dad some shirts and a book.
We love you so much!!!!

I framed one of Aaron's favorite quote from Gordon B. Hinckley for him. President Gordon B. Hinckley was our prophet to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints. He passed away last week. He was a great prophet to our church and we will miss. If you scroll down you can read the quote.

“The time has come for us to stand a little taller, to lift our eyes and stretch our minds to a greater comprehension and understanding of the grand millennial mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

“This is a time to be strong.

“It is a time to move forward without hesitation, knowing the meaning, the breadth and the importance of our mission.

“It is a time to do what is right regardless of the consequences that might follow.

“It is a time to be found keeping the commandments.

“It is a season to reach out with kindness and love to those in distress and to those who are wandering in darkness and pain.

“It is a time to be considerate and good, decent and courteous toward one another in all our relationships. In other words, to become more Christlike.”

Short Film

Nicholas made a short film using our digital camera. I didn't realize he knew how to use the camera that well. He did a great job! While I was watching it I had the biggest grin on my face.

Nick's Party!!

Saturday evening we invited our families to celebrate Nicholas' 9th birthday. He picked a clone trooper image for his cake. It turned out really good and the cake was yummy! My son loves LEGO STAR WARS!!! Can you tell? We had a display of all the star wars lego that he had completed. Now he has more to do. It's a lot of fun for him.
Some of Nick's drawings, photos and books all relating to STAR WARS.
My nephew Phillip brought his XBOX 360 for our entertainment. They had a blast playing guitar hero.
Carter you ROCK!!!
Uncle Jason... the boys adore you. Funny guy!
We had so much fun. I love it when we have both of our families together. We did miss my Dad, Travis, Chrissy and Emily. The next party will be in February for Carter's birthday. Then I get to take a break until July for Eric's birthday. It's a lot of working having a party, but the boys love it! I aim to please.

Happy Birthday, Nicholas!

Today Nichoals is 9 years old. I can't believe my little boy is growing up so fast. Four more years and he will be a teenager. Don't even want to think about it. I love him so.....much. Nicholas is a wonderful kid and great big brother. Tonight Nick invited some friends and his cousins to Laser Quest for his birthday party. This is a picture of them just before going in the laser tag room. This is what it looks like when they enter. Everything glowed in the dark. Aaron went along with the boys to play laser tag. They all had a blast!!!
After playing the games we went to our room to have pizza and cupcakes. Then the boys went to play in the arcade area. The hockey game was a favorite. Would have taken more pictures but my camera battery expired. I wish I could have gotten a picture of the gang in their laser gear. The laser quest employees sang happy birthday to Nick and did something cute. He will tell you about it. I wasn't there at the time. I went to go pick up the pizzas. Nick really enjoyed laser quest. He received a coupon for a free game. We plan on going back again. Aaron liked it a lot. Happy Birthday, Nick.

Happy New Year

We spent New Year's Eve with our kids playing games and munching on snacks. The boys were excited to toot their new year's hat.
3...2...1... Happy New Year!!!!
NOSE....
What a mess. I'm not cleaning it up. I didn't do it this time.
Who needs Time Square. When we have enough confetti to throw our own party. We hope that everyone has a happy and prosperous new year.
