Playscape

This is the first time that our playgroup has been to this indoor playscape. Check out that treehouse. It was so much fun to play in. There's a bridge from the treehouse to another tall play area with some slides. Nick was going down the slide pretty fast. Nick loved playing in the treehouse. Carter didn't want to go way up there. I don't blame him. It's pretty high up.
Carter was playing inside the lower party of the tree house.
This was a neat place. We plan on going back again soon!!

More pics from the playgroup

This is the section for the little ones. Carter enjoyed playing in the caterpillar tunnel. They also have a log tunnel and soft foam play area. Eric seems to like the bright colors.
My friend Trina with her son Luke. Eric is laughing at his friend Eddie.
Hi!
Nicholas was having so much fun running and climbing around the place. Especially when these girls were chasing him.

8 Months Old

Our little guy turned eight months old today. As you can tell, he's been drooling (a lot), but no teeth yet. He is such a cheerful boy. It feels good to get that wet shirt off me.
Mmmmmm, socks.
You talkin to me? Wanna play?
Hmm, why did Mom put me in here? It's not like I can crawl and get into stuff......yet.

Some cute pics

The Special Award from Grandpa Hayes arrived! In addition to the Lego Star Wars action figures, Nicholas also received ten brand new dollar coins. That is a pretty good prize for correctly selecting the birth date of a new cousin. Gee, I wonder when there will be another opportunity to guess a cousin's birthday. Thanks Grandpa! The Happy Trio....Frog, Toad and Slobber Monkey.
I wish I could play a video game. See, I've been practicing on sticking my tongue out for those times I need extra help concentrating.

A toupe' wearing, duck-billed Spongbob made of Play-doh. (A Nicholas creation).

Wolf Den

Nick was really nervous about going to Pack Meeting on Tuesday night. The Wolf Den was dressed up in grass (hefty bag) skirts and sang a traditional Hawaiian fishing song (We're going on a Huke Lau). The boys did a really good job of shaking their hips and singing in tune. Nick also was one of three boys selected to draw for a chance to throw a pie in the Cubmaster's face. To be selected, the boy must come to all meetings in full uniform and have a parent present at the Pack Committee Meeting. Guess who won?!?!?!
Here is Nick with Cubmaster Bob (all smiles pre-pie in the face).

Check out the form in that throw! Such grace, such skill. I wonder who taught him the "press and turn" technique?
His Dad, that's who.

Eric's new friend

Here's Eric (7 months old) with his new friend Aidan (9 months old). Aren't they adorable? When the boys had their pacifier in their mouth they would try to take each others away. It was so funny watching them. They play really well together.

They enjoyed chewing on the legos.
I love Aidan's blue eyes and dark hair. He's a sweet kid just like my Eric.

Sweet Caiden

Kelly looks amazing! Caiden is such a sweet and cute baby. I was so excited and happy for Kelly. Plus, I got to hold Caiden.
Doesn't he look a lot like Corgan? Caiden was making little squeak noises that sounded so cute.
Uncle Jason holding his newest nephew.
Kelly, can I hold him please? Can I huh? Can I? Can I? Can I huh?

Happy Birthday Carter

Last night we celebrated Carter's birthday along with his Aunt Susan and cousin Alex. Today he is 4 years old. I can't believe my little guy is 4. Here is Carter blowing out his candle. Cute kid.
He got some good gifts. Can you tell he likes cars and trucks?
Alex turned 14 on the 15th. Susan's birthday was yesterday, the 17th. Carter turns 4 today, the 18th. We have now finsihed celebrating our fifth February birthday. February has been an expensive month for us, however it is well worth it. Happy Birthday!!!

On Friday my sister Susan, her friend Jonie and I went to the Terrace Retreat Spa in Southlake. We had a nice day of being pampered. It was soooooooo nice. We then went to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch. YUM!! I told the waitress that it was my sister's birthday. We all shared a cheesecake together since we had a nice big lunch. The wait staff decorated the plate and wrote Happy Birthday Susan in chocolate and then sang to her. She doesn't like the attention, but it was fun. We had such a good time. We plan on having another girls day out. I had forgotten my camera so I didn't get any pics.

Pinewood Derby

Friday night was Nicholas' first Pinewood Derby. He had worked hard on his car and was really excited to see it race. Carter acted as Nicholas' crew chief and offered support and assistance at each stage of the car's preparation (sawing, sanding, painting, hammering). Here are the boys "pre-race".

Here is Nicholas loading his car for one of his six races. Note the look of concentration. What a professional.
The hard work paid off. Nicholas' car (The STP) came in first place in this race (Lane 1 / Far Left).
Here is Nicholas enjoying the action. The STP is in Lane 2 (center lane) running neck and neck with the car in Lane 1.
Here is our special driver with his STP racer. He had an enjoyable time and was a champion sportsman.

Play-Doh

Carter and I had fun playing with the play-doh while Eric was taking a nap. Then Eric woke up and wanted to play with us. He was grabbing everything. He liked squeezing the play-doh in his hand. Look he's even making squooshy noises.

Awe, this is my favorite picture. I'm a happy little boy. I wonder what this taste like?

Happy Valentine's Day!!!!

This is what my SWEETHEART gave to me. A fresh fruit bouquet from Edible Arrangements. It was very delicious, especially the chocolate covered strawberries. Not only is it pretty to look at but I can eat it too. Thanks Aaron. I love you!!!
This morning I went to Carter's preschool for their Valentine's party. We decorated heart shaped cookies, made a cute heart puppet and played some fun games.

Later that afternoon I went to Nicholas' school for his party. They made a cute CD photo frame with a poem to give to their parents. It was fun watching the kids open their Valentine cards. They were all thanking one another as everyone was opening it at the same time. The kids got to make ice cream sundaes during the party. One of the girls told me that they are all going to be so wired tonight because of all the sweets.
Nicholas and his friends seem to be having a blast. They would get frosting or cool whip on their faces and make each other laugh. I've enjoyed going to his parties and meeting the kids and the other Moms. Nicholas' teacher and classmates are a fun bunch to hang out with.
