Happy Halloween

This is Eric's first Halloween. The boys have been so excited about the Trunk or Treat. Can you tell they are ready to go get something good to eat? Such handsome boys!
Nick is the cool GI Joe guy and Carter is the "Cars" pit crew guy.

Our church had two wards get together for a TRUNK OR TREAT! We left early to get a good parking spot. While we were waiting the boys had fun hiding and chasing each other. Can you find them? Aaron took the boys treating while I passed out candy. We ended up having a good turn out. There were so many kids that a lot of people ran out of candies. I had two big bowls. I was handing out 2 pieces to each kid but realized on the second bowl I needed to give 1 piece instead. When I ran out of candies we still had trick or treaters. It was fun seeing people dress up. John Dixon was Shaggy from Scooby-Doo and his wife was Thelma. Their son Austin was Scooby of course. They are expecting a baby in April. They are such a cute couple/family. Last year they were Mr. and Mrs. Incredible. It was so cold outside. The Trunk or Treat lasted 40 minutes. We had our trunk lid open with our Jack O' Lantern inside. Eric was also in the trunk in his car seat sleeping. Everyone that came by thought he was sooooooooo cute!!!

After the Trunk or Treat we went to the Michael's. Carter and Eric had fallen asleep so the Michael's were sweet to come out and give the boys something good to eat (more candy). On the way home we stopped by my parents house. Gramma and Grandpa Medeiros gave the boys a cute little bowl filled with candies and money. Susan gave them some treats also. They took alot of pictures of the boys. Eric was happy talking and smiling. Carter and Nick wanted to eat more candy. My Dad mentioned that Eric seemed to be a happy baby. Eric loves smiling and cooing with his Grandpa and Gramma Medeiros. He is a bundle of joy!! His Mommy, Daddy, and big brothers spoil him with love. We enjoy spending time with our families. Eric was getting tired and wanted to go home and sleep in his crib. I think the boys are going to have a hard time getting up tomorrow morning for school. We had a Happy Halloween!!

Halloween Party

Carter's preschool had a Halloween party today. Here he is with his teacher Mrs. Becki.
Carter with his friend Brittany. She looks so cute as Snow White.

The kids were dancing to the Monster Mash.

Aunt Susan gave Nick and Carter a Halloween card with money. Carter loved his card so much he kept looking at it all day long. He can describe every detail on that card to you. Nick thought his card was nice but he liked the money a lot more. We bought each of the boys a wallet. Aunt PJ gave the boys some candies and coupons for a free justaburger from Whataburger.

Go Phillip!!

Here is my older sister PJ with her son Phillip. He is a seventh grader at Hurst Junior High. We went to his football game and had a great time. I think Aaron was getting into the spirit of the game. He was doing so many different cheers that it started to embarrass me. Let me tell you why. He was LOUD when he said "Phillip, Phillip he's our man. If he can't do it no one can." Well, Phillip's coach heard it loud and clear. He told Phillip that he had some fans cheering for him. I asked Aaron why he didn't do cheers like that at the boys soccer game. He said he didn't want to embarrass them but it was fun to do it to Phillip. Another cheer from Uncle Aaron "We
ve got spirit. Yes we do. We've got spirit more than you." PJ and I were laughing so hard. Phillip's team won the game. We had a lot of fun. Especially, Aaron!!
If you look really close you can see Phillip(75) waving at us.

After the game we left Hurst to go to Saginaw to pick up Gramma Hayes. We took her out to dinner at the Shady Oak BBQ restaurant. The food was good!!
The boys wanted a picture of the bear that was outside of the restaurant . They're like, "Come on Mom, it's a cool bear". Whatever makes them happy :)

Jack O' Lantern

We are nearly prepared for Halloween. The candy has been purchased (eaten and purchased again). The costumes are ready and have been broken in. All that was left was to carve the pumpkin which we did Sunday night. Here is this year's "Jack".

A great deal of work went into preparing the pumpkin. Here is Nicholas and Carter spooning out the innards. Actually, neither one of the boys wanted to get their hands dirty.

Aaron on the other hand had pumpkin stuff all over the place. In this picture he is asking Nicholas if he wants a bite.
Nicholas and Aaron are making sure all the marks made with the permanent marker are cut away.

Tammie was busy with Eric. It seems that Eric might....might be cutting a tooth. He has been crying a lot today is slobbering all over himself and wants to be held constantly. It has been a busy weekend for Eric as he laughed for the first time. He is real ticklish under his chin (both of them) and if the mood is just right will coo and laugh. He tires of it quickly though.

Trick or Treat...

Beware of suspicious mail! We received a package that seemed rather harmless, but noticed the return address was from "The Footman". The envelope was decorated with festive Halloween stickers so we thought nothing of letting the boys open it. There was a shriek followed by the sound of small bodies hitting the floor. We rushed to the room and this is what we found.

Further review of the contents revealed a horrific photo with a tempting caption wrapped around a chocolatey center.

Thank you Uncle Larry for the delicious treat.

A Cupcake or a Dollar?

A cupcake or a dollar? That was the question for Carter. After Nick's soccer game we asked Carter if he planned on playing at his game. He said "NO!!". I told him I would give him a dollar or a cupcake if he played. He said "OKAY!" Sure enough he played three full quarters of the game and enjoyed it. He didn't score a goal (or kick the ball while it was on the field) but he had fun running on the field with a big smile on his face. He was probably thinking about his cupcake. Unfortunately we don't have any pictures or video of him playing as we neglected to bring the cameras. Yes, I bribed my kid to play soccer with CUPCAKES!! How sad is that? Hey, it worked. Should have done this four games ago. Carter loves cake more than money. I guess we need to teach him the value of money.
Later that evening we went to my Mom's house for a family get together. Nick and Alex are trying to get Eric's attention with the colorful dinosaur.

But I don't want to be the king!!

Who wants to be the king? We can only have one.

My Friend Jonas

We went to visit our friends new and beautiful 4,700 square ft. home. They also have a really nice view of the pond. It only took my friend Ali thirty minutes to give me a tour of her house. Carter had fun playing with his good buddy Jonas. They played outside then went upstairs to a really cool play room. Ali and I stayed downstairs and had fun talking. She is due to have her fourth baby in April. She has three boys like us. Next month she will know if it's a boy or a girl. I'm so excited for her.

Jonas and Carter riding in the Jeep.
Uh-oh!!! The batteries running out of juice. Come on Jonas push!!!
Good job buddy! Now let's cruise.
Jonas has Popeye on the wall of his play room.

Wow!! That's a big Godzilla. Jonas also has a mural of a jungle in his bedroom. As you can tell the boys had a good time!!

Nice weather

My bumbo chair helps me to sit and and hold my head up better. I'm making progress. I enjoy sitting on my chair longer than usual. Carter and I have fun playing together.
Alright, tummy time is getting a little better. Now I can actually see the stars and moon on this blanket.

My big brother Nick got a really cool Star Wars Lego toy called the TIE fighter. He put it together all by himself. He so smart!!
Aaron and Carter had lunch with Nick at school on Friday. We went to Toysrus after school to get Nick his reward for doing so well on his report card. Carter got toy and I got Eric some really cute outfits. Later that evening my wonderful husband watched the boys so I could go out and have a good time with my sister. We went to a Pampered Chef party which was fun but the food wasn't good. So Susan and I went to Chili's and had fajitas. They were really good!! I couldn't believe I was gone for 4 hours but time sure does fly by when you are having fun. Saturday was a very busy day. The boys had their soccer games. Uncle Jason came and watch Nicholas play. The weather was perfect. After the game Jason had lunch with us at Taco Bueno. It was nice to visit with him. Later that afternoon we went to Nick's school for the Fall Carnival. The kids had a blast. We were all exhausted by the time we got home.

Our Weekend in Paris

Introducing the new rap group C & C. Yeah, we're white and nerdy.
Look how big a mess the grandsons can make when left unsupervised. Oh wait, Gramma-Nana was there. See Gramma in her pjs? Want to guess what time it is? Grin....
Corgan look at this big bubble Gramma-Nana made. Whoops! I stepped on it.
Hey Grandpa, can you smell this? I thought you had a cold. Grandpa said I stink and if he had hair it would have curled. I love you too Grandpa.

We had a fun weekend with our Gramma & Grandpa Hayes. We love visiting Paris, TX.

Brave Boys

On Friday I took the boys to the pediatrician for a flu shot and chicken pox shot. They were so brave they got a sparkled band-aid. We went to Target to get them a little toy for doing so well. Nick got a Fly Wheel Motorcyle and Carter got a neat yellow Hummer that has buttons to make rap music. Eric went to the doctor for a follow up on his ear infection. The infection is gone and he is back to being a health boy.
Later we went to have lunch with Aaron near his work. We had a nice time. It was fun for the kids to have lunch with their Daddy. Then we went to Gramma & Grandpa Medeiros house for a visit. They got back from their vacation last night. Gramma missed the boys so much she wanted to see them. She said Eric has gotten cutier!

When Aaron got home from work we all headed out to Paris, TX. Aunt Kelly and Corgan were staying at Gramma Hayes house. It was nice to see them. Before I could get a cute picture of Eric pouting he started to cry. So, Aunt Kelly pouted for him. I think Corgan is wondering why his Mommy looks so sad.

Fall Break

Whatta you lookin at? You lookin at me? Why, oh why was Nick and Carter so excited to get me in this thing?
We found out today that our Aunt Kelly is going to have a BOY!! Eric is going to have a buddy close to his age to play with. I wonder how long we'll have to wait until she has three boys like us?
Emily was so happy to see Carter. She loves to play with him and tell him what to do. It is almost like being married.

We went to my friend Mia's house today for lunch and playtime along with some of our other friends. The kids were out of school this week for Fall Break. That meant the house was loud and noisy. That didn't stop the Moms from enjoying our girl talk. It was fun!! My friend Mia loved holding Eric but was more than happy to give him up when he made some rather loud and smelly noises (no, not by blowing on his arm).

It's Wiggle Time

The boys had a lot of fun at the Wiggly Play Center in Frisco. Kelly and Corgan met us out there today. We stayed for about 2 hours and it was well worth it. Only when it was time to go home did Carter finally gather the courage to attempt the slide.
Nicholas on the other hand, did not hesitate to try the slides. He has perfected his "praying mantis" form.

Okay Nicholas, give us your best Tarzan yell! This was Nicholas' favorite activity and he has the blisters to prove it.

Nothing can capture the attention of a child like a group of four Australian guys dancing and singing like a bunch of loons. Here is Corgan and Carter watching The Wiggles on TV and preparing themselves to dance.

Eric with Aunt Kelly. She appears to be well prepared for her little bundle of joy due this February. Eric is 3 months old today. Time really does go by fast. It won't be too long before he will be chasing his brothers and cousins around.

The Wiggles Big Red Car

Carter is fascinated by cars. He latched on to this red beauty the minute we walked into the place. Buckle Up!
Nicholas was the oldest kid in the place as his school district is currently on Fall Break. Here he is working hard to build an impressive tower. His two admirers oohed and ahhhed during construction. Demolition (managed by the kid on the right) occured just after this picture was taken and before the camera was ready to take another picture.

Carter and Corgan playing together with the soft blocks.

Aw, come on cuz' gimme a boost!

What?!?! It is time to leave? No, you must misunderstand. I'm not ready to go. I don't want to leave my precious red car. Yeah, my precious.
