Egg Hunt at Buffalo Ridge Park

Tuesday afternoon was HOT!!!! Our ward from church met with another ward and had a Easter Egg Hunt. We had a a good turn out and the kids had fun.
Carter with his friend Emily (or girlfriend as Nick would say to tease Carter) Pre-hunt. Hey, Emily. Would you like to go hunt some eggs?

I spy a blue egg. I spy a purple egg.
Whew. That was hard work. I wonder where Emily went.

Hi Emily. Where is your basket? Don't you ever smile? She really does have a lovely smile when she does smile. Emily is a little shy but she sure is pretty.

Preschool Easter Egg Hunt

Miss Becki and the kids are coming outside for the egg hunt. I was asked to scatterd the eggs in the yard. I guess I threw them a little to hard because some of them broke opened and candies came out. I had FUN!! The hunt begins.
Then it ends. The kids couldn't wait to eat their candies.
We had some extra eggs. Miss Becki gave them to Eric. This doesn't taste like chocolate, but I like chewing on it.
Ewwww grass!!

Super Suppers

Last Friday night I went with some of my friends to a taste test at Super Suppers. We were able to taste food from April's menu. We thought it was neat to be able to try the food before purchasing it. That evening they were offering 1/2 entree orders at a discount. The best part was, it was already assemble and ready to take home. I ended up buying 3 different entrees. I have them in my freezer until I'm ready to cook it. We had the lasagna on Saturday. Aaron liked it a lot. Super Suppers offer walk in days, pick up orders and grab n go. They have a new menu every month. It was fun. I hope Super Suppers does the taste test again. We plan on going back if they do. Then afterwards will go see a chick flick. Sounds like a fun evening. Check out their website www.supersuppers.com.

An Update

It's been about two weeks since I last updated our blog. This morning our playgroup was cancelled due to the rain. We were looking forward to going to the new park. Oh well, now I can either fold the clothes or update this blog. Guess which one I picked? Here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks. We took Eric and Carter to the mall to play in the soft indoor playground. This is such a neat active mat. It looks like Carter is dancing but he is actually stepping on the kernel corn. Once he steps on it, it turns into popcorn. This mat changes to all kinds of different activities.
Eric wanted to touch the moving Easter egg that Carter was stepping on. Wish we had one of these mats at home.

After the boys finished playing we had ICE CREAM!!!!!!!
This picture was scanned and it didn't come out that good. The original picture is better. We didn't plan on taking a picture with the Easter bunny. They had the Easter Bunny next to the play area. So I told Aaron what the heck let's do it. Carter didn't want to stand next to the bunny so he is not in it. Aaron and I tried to get Eric to smile but he was more interested in looking at the props. He is probably wondering why am I sitting on this big bunny?!
Eric's first Easter picture.

Family Time

It was such a beautiful day Saturday. We took the boys out for lunch and went to the park. This park has a trail that we enjoy walking on. If you go around once it's about 1 mile.

The boys enjoyed riding their scooter. Whew, down the hill.
During our walk on the trail we would stop at the course to do some fun activity.
Aaron was struggling to keep his balance. Nick thought it was easy.
We enjoy going to this particular park. We come here often and the boys like riding their bikes and scooter. Nick and Carter have so much energy. It's fun watching them. Eric slept during the walk but woke up later when we went to the playground.

At the playground

After our walk on the trail we went to the playground.

Our boys

I love my boys. Just look at them. Sweet and handsome. My big brother reading to me.
At preschool Carter was a baker. He made yummy donuts.
On Monday Carter's preschool had a field trip to the fire station. The kids got to walk into the truck and out the other side. We were just about to go into the ambulance when the fireman got called to leave. This is a busy fire station. Our trip lasted about 10 minutes. We went to the park next door instead.
Eric has been teething like crazy. He is chewing on anything he can get his hands on. No tooth yet! He has been clingy lately. I wish his tooth would just come in. Eric has been having fun playing with his play buddy Aidan. Now that the weather is nice our playgroups have been going out more. We have fun going to different parks. Now that I'm done blogging I get to fold a bunch of clothes :)

The Money Factory

Today we took the boys on a tour of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing in north Fort Worth. It is at this facility that nearly sixty percent of all U.S. paper currency is printed. We had a neat time looking at all of the millions of dollars (stacks and stacks of it). There were a lot of armed security guards around, but they were very friendly. Sadly we couldn't take any pictures inside, but the tour was well worth the price of admission (free!!!). Next we want to take a tour of the Mint in Dallas. Here is Nick in his Treasury shirt (Carter didn't want one). Carter is holding a post card that shows the different printed currency ($1 to $100,000).

Yesterday I went to visit my friend Mai who had her baby last week. Baby Evan is so CUTE! I love how she did this collage of him. I will learn how to do this.

The boys met Caiden

This evening we went to the Cole's home so the boys could met Caiden. Corgan and Carter love playing with the babies. Corgan was giving Eric lots of hugs and Carter was giving Caiden some sweet attention. Caiden makes the cutest little noises. When I held him he also made some not so cute noises (nothing I haven't heard before). After the tooting I ended up changing his diaper. That is okay because it woke him up and his eyes were open for quite awhile. Caiden had his eyes open when his Uncle Aaron held him.
Aunt Kelly found Eric's ticklish spot. He enjoyed playing with her.Hanging out with the kids . We had a really nice visit.

Playscape

This is the first time that our playgroup has been to this indoor playscape. Check out that treehouse. It was so much fun to play in. There's a bridge from the treehouse to another tall play area with some slides. Nick was going down the slide pretty fast. Nick loved playing in the treehouse. Carter didn't want to go way up there. I don't blame him. It's pretty high up.
Carter was playing inside the lower party of the tree house.
This was a neat place. We plan on going back again soon!!

More pics from the playgroup

This is the section for the little ones. Carter enjoyed playing in the caterpillar tunnel. They also have a log tunnel and soft foam play area. Eric seems to like the bright colors.
My friend Trina with her son Luke. Eric is laughing at his friend Eddie.
Hi!
Nicholas was having so much fun running and climbing around the place. Especially when these girls were chasing him.

8 Months Old

Our little guy turned eight months old today. As you can tell, he's been drooling (a lot), but no teeth yet. He is such a cheerful boy. It feels good to get that wet shirt off me.
Mmmmmm, socks.
You talkin to me? Wanna play?
Hmm, why did Mom put me in here? It's not like I can crawl and get into stuff......yet.
